H&S Code 341.0357 requires the owner of any device having the appearance of a fire hydrant that is located where an entity having fire suppresion responsibility would expect a fire hydrant to be to paint it black if it is nonfunctioning or unavailable for use ny entity to suppress fire. Our largest privately owned public water utility is seeking a MOU whereby the utility is released from all liability and the couty is responsible for all potential damages to water system if a VFD pulls water for fire suppression. Is any one else dealing with issue?
