Here's the situation: Trailer park has one main water line for which the Landlord pays. Tenants pay Landlord for use of water. Landlord will not allow easement for Water Company to put in individual lines to Tenants. Landlord is now three months behind in his water payment and Water Company has cut off water to the trailer park. Other than the civil remedies provided by the Property Code (these tenants have no money to sue Landlord, pay the utilities themselves, or even move their trailers), do local government officials have any power to order the Landlord to pay the Water Company or order Water Company to cut the water back on for the indigent Tenants? I can find no power to do these things, but my local JP would really like to do something to help these folks out. Any thoughts would be appreciated. | ||
