In the past, most surveyors have been copying pages from deed records on the county copy machine and paying the county the fee per page. Recently, a couple of surveyors have begun taking photos of the pages they want with their digital cameras, obviously at no cost. One surveyor who does not do that but wants to begin doing so has asked me if that is "legal." I don't see why not. What do you think?
