Our county environmental health department has recently been actively pursuing abatement of solid waste nuisances, resulting in some cases where the county has incurred costs of cleanup, which we are authorized by statute and county order to recoup by means of a statutory lien against the property where the cleanup took place.

I am looking for a form for such a lien, as I have never filed one, and looking for information on process and procedure for the filing of the liens and foreclosure on the same.

I believe that Harris County has done some of this work in the past, do any of you Harris County lawyers have some input?
