If the county owns the 911 GIS computer data, is it lawful to sell the info to a company that will combine it with info gathered from other sources (addresses for in-car navigation, 911 purposes)and sell the complete data.

Our 911 coordinator enters the address info; I'm not sure whether the county actually owns it.

I've searched LEXIS statutes, caselaw & AG opinions. ANY IDEAS????
