A defendant had money seized in accordance to Chapter 59. The defendant mailed a request for production before the forfeiture was even filed. The "Plaintiff's Original Notice of Seizure and Intended Forfeiture" was filed, and the defendant was not served....several attempts were made. We later were informed he had been murdered by one of the individuals that was with him during the seizure. How do you proceed? What do you do with the drug money?
