Our County has had a number of issues recently with nuisance properties and is stepping up our enforcement of public nuisance laws and abatement of nuisance properties. We've cleaned up properties and filed liens, but would rather not wait several years until the property is up for sale to collect on the liens. One in particular is over $28,000, the property is on its way to becoming a nuisance again, and the owner has no intent to pay the lien or clean up the property. Is there a way to collect on the lien before the property sells? Has anyone foreclosed on a property after a lien hasn't been paid for a certain amount of time? | ||
