We were recently awarded several 8-liner machines from the raids of several gambling establishments, and are planning to sell them at auction. We would like to have some type of letter that is signed by the buyer stating that they will not use these for gambling activities etc. Anyone have any ideas ?

Our experience has been that these types of agreements rarely, if ever, keep these machines from being used illegally...either back in your own jurisdiction or in someone else's. Any way you guys might consider destroying them instead?

We initially tried that (including language not only that the machines wouldn't be used for nefarious chapter 47 purposes, but also that they wouldn't return to our county). Shockingly, we wound up seizing the very same machines the very same year. That's why we now pull out the CRTs (TCEQ won't let you destroy them at the dump because they have mercury or some similar Love Canal potion in them), sell the bill acceptors/change makers, and mash the rest.

Bulldozing them at the dump can be a good photo op. for your local press. Smile
