Just received notice by the defense that Dr. Bux will be an expert in a homicide case. Long story short, victim and defendant were at a party, defendant stabs victim several times. Victim is hospitalized 30 days and dies. Apparently, the defense will be "intervening cause" (what they have termed "medically (or drug) induced malignant hyperthermia"). I have found a couple of older posts regarding Dr. Bux, but not much other info. He was in Bexar County for a while, but now is with the El Paso County (Colorado) Coroner's Office. Any info on him, or any information you have regarding the intervening cause issue will be appreciated. I'll repost in the expert forum also. | ||
