I have an upcoming injury to a child case where the child's hair follicle was tested and showed positive for large amount of cocaine. The lab that tested the follicle is out of Lenexa KS. They are a production lab so they designate 4 "responsible persons" who will do any testifying on the results based on their records - protocol and chain of custody are all well documented. However, they do not send the actual chemist/analyst. Has anyone had to deal with this issue and how do you get past the confrontation issue?
