Google Harold Buttram, MD, you will find 912 hits in which Dr. Buttram consistently takes a contrary position to that which is generally accepted in the scientific community (the Fry criterion and #4 of the Daubert criteria) - he appears to be a spokesperson for alternative medicine. For example, he argues for parental choice in avoiding mandatory vaccines, stating that the efficacy of vaccinating children has not been evaluated. He argues against shaken baby syndrome as involving "blatant inadequacy of screening and testing in SBS cases in general.." He has published in the "Price Poettinger Nutrition Foundation Journal" Several of his publications appear to involve allegations of shaken baby syndrome - where he opposed such a claim.

A Daubert hearing might be proper. I would look to UTMB neurology and/or pediatrics for folk who would oppose him, depending on the nature of the case.
