Im a long time reader but first time poster on the forum. We have a Capital case going to trial in three weeks where we anticipate they are going to raise some type of muddled insanity defense revolving around defendant's biopolar disorder and cocaine use right before the murder. Potentially some sort of dual diagnosis Im bipolar, therefore I cant control my urges to use drugs and therefore cant formulate the intent to commit a crime, sort of thing. Does anyone have any thoughts on an expert in neuro pharmacology/psychiatry who could testify for the State? Or general thoughts on a case like this? The top four on the the defenses expert notice are: William Daley, P.h.D Susan Stone, M.D. Stanley Self, M.D. Cecil Reynolds, Ph.D. Please email me with any thoughts. Much appreciated, Katie Sweeten | ||
