Thanks to the miracle of the Interwebs, we at TDCAA are able to track the results of many local elections. Unfortunately, election results from some parts of the state are still less--how should I put it?--"accessible" than we would like. Therefore, we rely on our members to help us fill in the gaps. This is where you come in. Below is a list of results from various contested Criminal DA races throughout the state, or new CDAs taking office in January for various reasons. (With one exception [Nueces], only Criminal DAs are up for re-election this cycle; CAs and DAs run in presidential years.) If there is a result of a contested election that you know to not be listed here, please add a post about it (or email me) so that we can catch up with the latest news. Also, if a CDA seat is changing hands for other reasons (retirement, etc.) or was decided in the primary, feel free to add it as well. Thanks! Oh, and one last note: This is for informational purposes only, so please reserve any comments you may have for other, more partisan websites. THE LIST (UPDATED as of 11/3 at 4:45pm, with incumbents marked by *): Bexar: Susan Reed* Collin: Greg Willis Comal: Jennifer Tharp Dallas: Craig Watkins* Denton: Paul Johnson* Galveston: Jack Roady Harrison: Coke Solomon Kaufman: Michael McLelland McLennan: Abel Reyna Nueces: Mark Skurka San Jacinto: Richard Countiss Smith: Matt Bingham* Van Zandt: Chris Martin Victoria: Steven Tyler* Wichita: Maureen Shelton Yoakum: Bill Helwig [This message was edited by Shannon Edmonds on 11-03-10 at .] | ||
