Hello all, I will be starting as a misdemeanor trial prosecutor in the next few weeks. I previously clerked in the appellate division of another DA's office, but it's been some time since I've seen the inside of a courtroom. I have just a couple questions about some stuff I may need to get beforehand: 1. How many suits should I have, assuming that I'm going to be in the courtroom every day? 2. Should I have my own laptop, assuming my office does not provide one for work-related purposes? 3. Are there any other pieces of equipment or clothing items I should have that I'm not thinking of? Thanks!

We have office laptops we take to court to play DVDs and CDs. I also do a PowerPoint during voir dire. I guess every court is different in terms of technology, but you obviously have to have a way to connect in court and show videos to the jury at a minimum.
