After each regular session, the standing committees in the Legislature are given interim charges on various issues by the Speaker and the Lt. Governor. If you have an issue that merits an interim study, please forward that idea to me at edmonds@tdcaa.com or post it here, and I will forward it to the appropriate office.

I don't have a deadline yet, but sooner is better than later.

When a case mistrys in punishment, I would like to see it retried on punishment only.

That was filed as SB 432 this session but it never got a hearing in the Senate Criminal Justice Committee.
