Can a District Judge hold a juvenile witness in contempt for refusing to testify? If so what is the Judge's remedy? Cannot place him in jail since he is a juvenile. Could he fine him? If he does not pay then what? Family Code defines contempt of justice/municipal court or county court for fine only as delinquent conduct but not contempt of District Court. Presumably a juvenile could not be detained in Juvenile detention since it is not delinquent conduct nor a CHINS offense. | ||
