Thought I would pass this along since it was news to me. TDPRS does not have to pay court costs or fees. See TEX. HUM. RES. CODE ANN. 40.062 (Vernon Supp. 2002)(�The Department is not required to pay any cost or fee otherwise imposed for court proceedings . . . .�). I discovered this after the Supreme Court told us there would be no fee for a petition for review of termination reversal.

Does anyone know if a similar exemption applies to costs and fees in a juvenile appeal?
