This is a topic which LE is starting to use more and more. The FAA is starting to catch up with the LE policies and guidelines for their use in a regulation manner. My question is more aimed towards us in the investigative and prosecution side of this. Has anyone had an agency submit a search warrant which you are willing to share with me. Or has anyone had a case filed where a drone was used as part of the LE evidentiary case file. Agencies are in the beginning stages here of using them and I would just like to get out ahead of this for our office and also the judges in our area. No one seems to have an answer for me so far. Thanks for your help.

Lubbock CDA investigator Nick Simpson gave a presentation on drone use at the Investigator Course this past year. You might contact him for more information. NSimpson-at-lubbockcda-dot-com.
