Does any office require in home alcohol monitoring devices for first time DWI offenders? We would like to consider it as a requirement for first time offenders - any thoughts?

We don't generally do intox or in home for first time offenders unless (following new law) they are over or equal to .15. That said, we assign the in home to folks who say "I am never driving again" as an added alternative to the vehicle intox. We also use the SCRAM as well.

Wise Co:

Do you treat those who refuse to blow the same as those who blow .15? Or do your lads always get a blood warrant?

Many many of our cases come with blood tests, either by warrant or by consent. We normally do not do interlock on refusals and we require it on all .15 or over and all DWI2's. Everyone is a little different.
