Has anyone presented testimony on the results of an ETG test in court? It is apparently a test for alcohol sensitive for 80 hours after consumption.

Substantial problem with false + results.... You should read the SAMHSA report on biomarkers. Sept 2006, Vol 5, Issue 4.

Eighty hours is a bit of an overstatement when one uses a proper threshold; high enough to avoid false positives from passive exposure to alcohol-containing consumer products. Also I have some real criticisms of the SAMHSA report. I have written about my criticisms in the newsletter of the Society of Forensic Toxicologists. I have also reproduced that article for download on my website. I think it is inappropriate for me to "advertise" on this forum, so please contact me if you would like to know how to get a copy.
