One of our district judges has informed me, a defense attorney has asked for some information on grand jurors serving on a particular day. The request is for gender & date-of-birth & purports to be made under the Public Information Act. Our district clerk thinks, this information is not covered by secrecy, but our civil division thinks it is secret. Anybody here dealt with such a request & if so, what were the results? Also, I have no idea whatsoever what the purpose of such a request is, nor do I know which attorney made the request.
