Texas Monthly's annual Bum Steer awards are out. It is always interesting to see how many of the awards arise from criminal justice circumstances.

One Midland County sheriff's deputy was fired and four others were disciplined for getting drunk and photographing a scantily clad waitress who had posed on a patrol car holding their assault rifle outside a Twin Peaks restaurant in Round Rock where the lawmen had come for a training session.

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a cell phone picture taken by a FOX 4 viewer.
The viewer said she was at Beamers Nightclub on Walnut Hill Lane in Northwest Dallas Saturday night. As she was leaving the club, she said she noticed a Dallas police officer in full uniform sitting on a squad car.
