State v. Arredondo (from 4th COA) was the case of the day on July 15, 2013.

If you didn't get a chance to read it - give it a go. One of the things discussed was the need for the Medical Examiner to take an oath of office. It was put to bed on one of several grounds which the State actually advanced in the trial court (including lack of standing and "de facto" official arguments).

I hope the whole medical examiner/oath issue has been put to rest - has anyone else had trouble with this from the dark side?

You can read it here
