We're trying a case in about a month or so involving the death of a severely malnourished child. I'm trying to find transcripts from any other counties who have already tried that kind of case to see what challenges and potential pitfalls they've encountered in the courtroom. The Nov/Dec 2005 issue of The Texas Prosecutor contained a description of a starvation case written by Bexar ADA Chris DeMartino, possibly the same case DJC was referring to.

Jane Starnes in Williamson County tried such a case against Roy Minton. Change of venue. It was a humdinger.
