Okay, now I'm confused. Didn't Medrano (2002) overrule Roberts? I thought the State's right to appeal was no longer limited to situations where the evidence was illegally obtained.

The court's decision does not even appear to apply the law correctly. I hope this gets reconsidered/reviewed.
