I'm curious if a $2,000 Net Veterinary Debt (customer has refused to pay) position qualifies as a criminal or civil matter. The client had an overall $3,000 bill and paid about 1/3 and then discontinued paying. We have been given conflicting data on whether this is purely a civil matter now (that the customer has partially paid), or is a criminal matter due to its size. Of course, our preference is that the client pay the debt.
