What are your new years resolutions for 2009? Call them goals if you are an anti-resolutionist.

My goal is to look like L.L. Cool J. But then again, that's my goal every year and it never works out the way I plan.

Since my resolution of last year -- to look more like Paul Giamatti -- worked out so well, I'm ramping it up a bit. This year, I hope to be mistaken for Patrick Stewart.

English people in the 60's had bad teeth too.

Exhibit A-- Austin "Danger" Powers:

Set your sights a little lower (or higher, depending on your pov) and aim for Flavor Flav. I'll have a clock necklace for you to wear at your annual update lecture.

Or this one that really, really works:

Hurry up and lemme know if you want one for next week's lecture. I'm sure I can find several folks on this forum who would contribute for such an august fashion statement.

I'll kick in my two cents: This year, I vow to be better about saving money rather than spending it. I may even take a shopping hiatus (for clothes, not, you know, groceries), but I haven't taken that plunge yet.

Funny, my goal is the opposite. Quit buying food, and buy more clothes. Smile
