Has any one handled a case under this statute? I have a situation where an incarcered man contacted his son, who is the half brother of his minor victim. He did not directly contact the victim, he contact his son only through third parties for many years. Subsection 2 of the statute is throwing me for a loop. Since he did not try to make contact with the victim herself, does that mean there is no offense? In some of the emails he did mention to the third party to get his son to talk to his sister about changing her story, but that is it. Perhaps it is enough???
