The 3rd court of appeals has today reversed the decision of a central Texas judge, who ruled the relatively new law prohibiting sex between students and teachers was unconstitutional. Very interesting discussion. For details, click here.

An unusually well developed and thoughtful analysis--whether you approve the law or not. I wonder if the CCA will ever reach the merits.

It's a good job the law can't be applied retroactively to scoop up all those teachers who ultimately married their students!! There must be more than a few out there. But, maybe, it is only the teachers who reject their suitors who would answer to the law.
