POLICE FIND SECRET RACECOURSE Police in Italy say they have found a secret racecourse - with grandstands, a car park and 80 racehorses. The Miss Charmet race track at Marigliano, near Naples, was uncovered by paramilitary carabinieri. There were 200 vehicles at the course, built without planning permission, when the raid took place. Investigators impounded thousands of packets of illegal stimulants, including Viagra which can apparently enhance the sporting performance of horses.

You wonder how something so big could be overlooked until it is functioning and how little law enforcement is in contact with the happenings in the community. What else is going on undetected?

Collage campus? Is that where they put a bunch of photos on the ground, jumble them all up and make the subjects pick themselves out for extra credit?

I think a collage campus is where scrapbooking enthusiasts go to learn their trade.

Thanks, Greg, I knew you'd know. But, is that really you? That identifier at the bottom, claiming to be Bastrop, Texas, just don't look right. You're not in their jail, are you?

If you must know, "collage" is Italian for "college". Kind of like AP is Italian for "banjo toting".

We can call each other names but you outsiders aren't afforded that privilege... ;-). Btw, the Italian word for "college" is "college," not collage........ kinda like "pizza."

I clearly remember a track about 1/3 that size in Parker County. It, too, seemed to be invisible until the late eighties. Or maybe folks were just looking the other way?

The cops probably went round and round deciding whether or not to bust the place.
