Give me a break, unfair?....hardly! The sentence wasn't stiff enough.

Your statement points out the ambiguity of the polling question. It asks if the punishment was reasonable. I took that to mean the person answering the poll was voting on whether the decision to require the defendant to repay the charitable fund was reasonable. My answer to that is "Yes."

However, if you read the question and think it means you are voting whether the punishment was stiff enough, your answer might be different.

All in all, I think a "yes" answer best responds to the polling question. But, hey, if you are in doubt, vote twice: yes and no.
