Isn't prior relationship evidence admissible in the case in chief in family violence assault cases?

It can be. See CCP art. 38.36 and Garcia v. State, 201 SW3d 695 (Tex. Crim. App. 2006).

38.36 only applies to murder prosecutions. I was interested in Agg. Assault or Enhanced FV Assault cases. Can "prior relationship" evidence still be admissible?
