Because the Amarillo Court of Appeals opinion was not mentioned in the Case Summaries last November, nor in this Forum since, I want to suggest everyone should read Emily Johnson-Liu's brief in the Neuser case. Jurors' pre-disposition toward the credibility or reliability of a peace officer as a witness comes up in the voir dire of almost every case. How to address the inquiry and how to interpret a prospective juror's answer can be critical to both sides. Emily has effectively written a treatise on this topic. Until we get an opinion from the CCA, this is a great source of information. Neuser | ||
