If a county only has two JP's, can they enter into an agreement to accept pleas on behalf of the other JP if the other JP is unavailable???

Can't find anything at the moment.

Section 74.121 of the Government Code allows justices of the peace within a county to transfer cases to and from the dockets of their respective courts, with the consent of the judge of the court to which the case is transferred, and provided that the case is within the jurisdiction of the court to which it is transferred. It also allows justices of the peace within a county to "exchange benches and courtrooms with each other so that if one is absent, disabled, or disqualified, the other may hold court for him without the necessity of transferring the case."
