Retention of records by a District Attorney's Office for CPS files Login/Join

I am in the process of updating and organizing our CPS files.

Does anyone know of any federal or state regulations or any other rules that govern how long a district attorney's office is required to retain their CPS files ones the cases have been closed out because of adoption, aging out or CPS being dismissed from the case.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Please see the Texas State archives & library for standard retention schedules.
