My wife is contemplating running for district clerk of the same county that I'm CDA of. I've looked at the Government Code & don't see anything prohibiting it. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I don't think there is a prohibition......voter approval at the ballot box seems the only requirement in that scenario.

I'm with my learned colleague. No official can hire her, but the public may.
