While painful to think about, he may have done society a favor by limiting his ability to pass on his criminal ways . . . Wink

John & Andrea,

I think we know a certain capital murderer whose criminal history, at least in part, purportedly developed over a feeling of shortcoming about possessing only one real testicle.

Don't the Beach Boys have a song about Kokomo?

Police: Man shoots himself in testicle during robbery

Associated Press

KOKOMO, Ind. Oh, shoot!

A man accidentally shot himself in the groin as he was robbing a convenience store Tuesday, police said.

A clerk told police a man carrying a semiautomatic handgun entered the Village Pantry demanding cash and a pack of cigarettes. The clerk put the cash in a bag and as she turned to get the cigarettes, she heard the gun discharge.

Police say surveillance video shows the man shooting himself as he placed the gun in the waistband of his pants. The clerk wasn't injured.

A short time later, police found 25-year-old Derrick Kosch at a home with a gunshot wound to his right testicle and lower left leg.

Kosch was released from the hospital Tuesday and booked into the Howard County jail on a charge of armed robbery, criminal recklessness and battery. He is being held on a $100,000 cash bail. A jail official did not know if he had retained an attorney Wednesday.

Unsuccessful robber shoots self in foot

CHERRYVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Authorities said an unsuccessful robber shot himself in the foot ... by shooting himself in the foot. Police said Kelvin Ethelbert Roberts, 28, botched his plans to rob a Cherryville convenience store by accidentally shooting his right foot.

According to an arrest warrant, Roberts dropped a .45-caliber handgun in front of Gasland USA on Sunday. The gun hit the ground and went off, a bullet striking Roberts in the foot.

Roberts faces several charges that include attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a weapon of mass destruction. Police said the handgun had been altered to fire .410 shotgun shells.

Authorities said Roberts was in illegal possession of the gun because of his felony cocaine possession conviction in 2002 in Chautauqua County, New York.

Cherryville is about 40 miles northwest of Charlotte.

So, you'd rather have a limp than be uni-testicular? Interesting.

BBC News -
A serial sex offender who failed to convince a jury he could not be a flasher because his genitals were too small was jailed for 20 months.
Michael Carney, a married 41-year-old father of two, claimed he was too embarrassed about the size of his manhood to expose himself to women - and showed the jury at Teesside Crown Court photos as proof.
He was convicted in November of seven counts of outraging public decency and was also sentenced for four counts of indecent assault which he admitted earlier.

How ironic, a flasher defending himself against flashing charges by flashing the jury.

No one told him to put his finger on the trigger only if he intended to fire the thing. It's society's fault for failing to fully "edumucate" him on proper gun handling.

They really ought to put warning labels on those guns, too. How was he supposed to know he might kill himself with it?! His family should sue the gun makers!

A guy is on trial for burglary. After the victim identified several items of property recovered from a pawn shop, he also pointed out that the defendant was "sitting right there wearing my boots he stole".

Some people have no fashion sense, I guess
