California Death Row inmate dies of natural causes

"Prison officials say 51 condemned inmates have died from natural causes since 1978, when California reinstated capital punishment. The compares with 17 who committed suicide and 13 who were executed."

So apparently in California it's almost 4 times as dangerous to just be old than to be on Death Row.

Sealed away in boxes in a corner of Denise Perez's garage are nearly 800 unpeeled bumper stickers, each one printed with a simple message that speaks volumes: Check the back seat. Don't forget the baby
The stickers are a visual voice for the 443 children who have succumbed to vehicular hyperthermia since 1998, more than half of whom were under the watch of caretakers, according to statistics compiled by San Francisco State University.

Man gets $650,000 for lap dance eye injury
A South Florida man may have a few more dollars to toss around at strippers after he won $650,000 in a settlement for injuries he suffered during a lap dance.
In 2008, Michael Ireland was poked in the eye by a stripper's spiked high heel when he got a little too close during a performance at the Cheetah Club near West Palm Beach.

A mountain goat that fatally gored a hiker over the weekend, then stood over the man and stared at people trying to help, had shown aggressive behavior in the past, Olympic National Park officials said Monday.

Robert Boardman, 63, of Port Angeles, died Saturday after he was attacked by the goat while hiking on the subalpine Switchback Trail in the park. The trail is popular with residents of nearby Port Angeles, which is about 85 miles west of Seattle.
