Ok, here is a riveting question for a Friday P.M.

County can hire private attorney to collect delinquent taxes, that's solid. But, can the contract to collect the taxes be for more than a one year period? The fees that will be paid to the attorney for years 2 and 3 will not come from current year revenues, however there will not be any fees incurred in year 1 that will not come from current year revenues, because the attorney is only getting paid in year 1 if he collects the money in year 1. The county has no additional liability aside from paying him the money that he is successful in collecting. Thanks

I doubt any revenue of the county is ever in question in this contract. Are they not seeking a percentage of whatever they collect? If they collect nothing they get nothing.
